The Scaffold and Grimms
The Scaffold were at the heart of the Liverpool artistic boom of the
60s, performing a mixture of sketches, poems and songs. They released
many singles and had
several hits.
Grimms was formed in 1973, being a mixture of The Scaffold,
the Liverpool Poets
(Adrian Henri,
Brian Patten,
Roger McGough),
Neil Innes
and Vivian Stanshall
from the Bonzos plus friends such as Zoot Money.
Their mixture of poetry and songs and their style of humour are in the tradition of
Monty Python and
The Bonzos.
They produced three albums.
