The Man On The Moon and the Royal Standard have been renamed back. The Castle (St Andrew's St.) is being refurbished.

The Kingston Arms is now doing food; the Fresher & Firkin conversion to an It's a Scream is apparently about to start.

April 2000

The Bath's makeover has finished; The Man On The Moon is to make a comeback.

March 2000

The Kingston Arms has at last reopened as Lidstones' first pub.

February 2000

Chris & Debbie Lloyd are leaving The Free Press after 22 years to concentrate on The Cambridge Blue.

December 1999

The Pat & Parrot II is due to open on the 13th. The Six Bells has changed hands.

November 1999

The Alma reopened on the 17th. The Cambridge Blue is changing hands on 13th Dec. The Alex now serves real ale!

September 1999

The Regal opened on the 7th after two years of delays. There are a lot more developments to come - see The Drinking Circuit.

July 1999

It seems The Alma has been sold to Ridleys Brewery. Chambers has been rebadged as "{squiggle}ar Moosh" (Bar Moosh). The Fountain and The Dobblers had refurbs. The Cross-Keys changed hands.

June 1999

The Office and The Bath have changed hands. Updated Past Pubs & Breweries and Pubs in Cambridge Suburbs.

May 1999

The Hogshead and its sister bar The Bath Ale House are running a 25-beer beer festival from 20-May to 29-May. There's an excellent variety of small-brewery beers. The Cow & Calf is no more. The Racehorse has been boarded up by McDonalds prior to conversion. (See ALE 294 : Pub News - Cambridge)
